The Results Are In...
Thanks to all who voted in the poll. "Chicken Fried Steak" is apparently the winning title, although this is likely weighted by a heavy Texas readership.

Chicken fried foods (steak or chicken) are in a class all their own. These are probably Texas' second favorite food (behind the "State Dish" of chili) and certainly iconic to any traveler on a road trip hungry for quick sustenance and a warm food coma. This site is devoted to exploring all that is good, breaded and fattening about chicken fried foods in Texas. his gravy looked sooo thin and watery...it looked more like a sauce than a thick rich gravy...but the steak part looked pretty!...
